Creator and Background

Hypelist was founded by Alfonso Cobo, a former Squarespace employee and creator of Unfold, a popular social storytelling platform acquired by Squarespace in 2019. Cobo built Hypelist after noticing people constantly asking for recommendations on social media, with suggestions scattered across WhatsApp chats, notes apps, and spreadsheets. He saw an opportunity to centralize discovery in one elegant app.

Hypelist is available as a free mobile app on both iOS and Android. The core functionality is free to use, with the optional Hypelist Ultra subscription for power users. The app has been downloaded by over one million users and maintains a 4.9 rating on the Google Play Store following a major Android revamp in partnership with Roro Solutions.
