How It Works

After downloading the app, users grant access to their photo library and are presented with one photo or video at a time from their camera roll. Swiping left marks the item for deletion, swiping right keeps it, and swiping up adds it to favorites. A sticky month rail at the bottom of the screen lets users jump between different time periods in their library. The On this Day feature automatically surfaces photos from past years on the current date. After completing a swiping session, users can review and confirm all pending deletions before any items are permanently removed from the device.

Privacy and Security

CleanCam does not upload photos or videos to external servers for cleanup processing. All analysis and organization happens locally on the user device. No account creation is required, eliminating the need to share email addresses or personal information to use the core cleanup functionality. The app collects usage data for analytics and third-party advertising purposes, but this data is not linked to user identity.
