Volt Intelligence is a sports technology company that developed OptikAI, an AI-powered extended reality (XR) simulation platform purpose-built for baseball training and player development. Built to the specifications of current and former MLB players, the platform combines immersive VR visuals, physics-based pitch simulation, and cognitive training to serve hitters, catchers, umpires, and youth athletes across all levels of the game.

Key Capabilities

• Pitch Simulation: OptikAI renders any pitch type in any stadium at any time of day, using advanced physics to model movement, velocity, and spin. Hitters can take unlimited reps against simulated pitchers for vision tuning, game preparation, and rehabilitation.
• Game Planning for Catchers: Catchers can load opposing lineups, call pitch sequences, and work through at-bats before game day. The platform renders each hitter's ABS zone at their exact height with full pitch trails showing every inch of the ball flight.
• Umpire Training: Umpires practice making calls from behind the plate without needing a field, catcher, or batter. The system renders every pitch with precision, showing the full ball trail and the exact point it crosses the zone.
• Cognitive Integration: The platform integrates S2 Cognition testing, providing measurable feedback on vision, reaction time, and cognitive performance alongside physical training reps.

Delivery and Access

OptikAI is delivered in two primary ways. For professional, college, and elite programs, the platform runs directly on VR headsets for individual and team use. For youth athletes, it is available through camps and facilities led by former MLB players, coaches, scouts, and front office executives. The PowerUp Baseball Development Camps, featuring instructors such as Zach Lutz and Danny Espinosa, combine on-field instruction with OptikAI training stations and S2 Cognition assessments.

Volt Intelligence also operates Mobile Data Days, bringing standardized, Volt-powered assessment events to facilities and travel programs. These events provide consistent training experiences, meaningful reps, and performance data that colleges and pro teams can trust because the data is standardized and verifiable across all participants.

Visual and Technical Features

OptikAI delivers 4K per eye graphics with hyper realistic visuals, including stadium environments with accurate time-of-day shadows and HoloPitcher renderings. The platform supports multiple languages including English, Spanish, and Japanese. Training modes cover pitch occlusion, reaction time work, and age- and skill-appropriate drills from low-impact rehabilitation sessions to high-intensity competitive reps. Fielding, baserunning, and pitcher visualization modes are in development to expand the complete baseball experience.
