My Date Jar is a date planning platform designed to help couples, friends, and individuals find personalized date ideas and experiences. Based in Norfolk, Virginia, the service combines AI-powered recommendations with a curated catalog of local events, restaurants, and activities to reduce the time spent planning and increase quality time together.
How It Works
Users tell the AI planning companion known as Hart their mood, preferences, and location. Within about 60 seconds, the platform generates a curated plan tailored to their tastes. The AI learns from user feedback over time, improving its suggestions with each use. Plans can be delivered through the My Date Jar mobile app, SMS, or email, giving users flexibility in how they receive ideas. The service is available on iOS and Android through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Key Features
- Personalized Recommendations: AI analyzes user preferences, location, and mood to suggest date ideas that match individual tastes and relationship dynamics. The system gets smarter with every interaction.
- Direct Booking: Users can book restaurants, events, and adventures directly through the platform without leaving the app, streamlining the entire planning process.
- Local Discovery: The app surfaces hidden local gems and geofenced experiences based on the user location, helping people find activities in their area they might otherwise miss.
- Community Features: Users can participate in community forums, share tips, and engage with event threads. An upcoming matchmaking feature called Match Me will allow users to connect with others who share their interests.
