Meta is back at the frontier. On July 16, 2026, Mark Zuckerberg announced Muse Spark 1.1, a 1M-token-context agentic model, alongside Meta's first-ever paid developer API. The same week, Meta Superintelligence Labs shipped Muse Image and previewed Muse Video, its first media-generation models. Meta's first paid developer API

It debuted at number two on the text-to-image arena. Muse Video shares the same pretraining base, adds native audio, and debuted at number three on text-to-video.
