Tales So (tales.so) is an audio-first book summary platform that transforms nonfiction books into podcast-style episodes. Designed for busy professionals, students, parents, and lifelong learners, Tales offers concise audio and text summaries of over 10,000 books across genres including business, self-help, psychology, finance, science, parenting, and fiction. The platform enables users to grasp key insights from bestselling books in under seven minutes without spoilers.
How It Works
- Podcast-Style Summaries: Each book is presented as a structured audio podcast episode with a corresponding text summary, allowing users to listen during commutes, workouts, or chores. Summaries are organized into a five-chapter format that preserves the book's narrative arc and key arguments while omitting spoilers.
- AI-Powered Author Avatars: Users can have interactive discussions with AI-generated avatars of authors such as Peter Thiel, Dale Carnegie, or Robert Kiyosaki, asking questions, exploring concepts, and receiving personalized insights in real-time.
- Personalized Recommendations: An AI recommendation engine suggests books based on each user's reading history and preferences, helping users discover relevant titles without browsing a large catalog manually.
- Curated Libraries and Collections: Users can save and organize favorite book summaries into personal collections. Tales also offers curated reading lists from celebrities and thought leaders including Steve Jobs, Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, and Tim Ferriss.
