ResumeUp.AI: AI Resume Builder with ATS Scoring & Job Tools

What is ResumeUp.AI?

ResumeUp.AI is an AI-powered resume builder and job search toolkit launched in 2024. It creates ATS-optimized resumes tailored to specific job descriptions, with built-in ATS scoring against five major platforms: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, and Oracle Taleo. The platform has served over 540,700 job seekers since launch.

Unlike general-purpose AI chatbots, ResumeUp.AI uses a model fine-tuned on millions of resumes that actually landed interviews. Its ATS checker runs 28 checks covering parsing, keywords, grammar, and recruiter readability, then provides one-click AI fixes for every flagged issue within the same workspace.

Key Features

AI Resume Builder with Template Editor -- Build resumes from scratch or upload an existing one. The AI extracts your information, fits it into an ATS-tested template, and rewrites bullet points tailored to any job description you paste in.
ATS Resume Checker (0-100 Score) -- Get a real-time ATS compatibility score in under 60 seconds. Scores of 80+ indicate interview-ready; below 60 means the ATS will likely filter you out. The checker compares keywords from the job description against your resume and flags missing skills in red.
20+ ATS-Tested Templates -- Every template is tested quarterly against Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, and Taleo. Options include Catalyst, Craft, Visionary, Panorama, Elegant, Creative, Executive, Classic, Standard, and Luminary. Switch templates without losing content.
Cover Letter Generator -- Generates a personalized cover letter in 30 seconds that mirrors your resume's keywords and tone. The AI researches the company and role to produce a professional three-to-four-paragraph letter with customizable tone options.
AI Mock Interviews -- Practice with role-specific questions tailored to your job title, industry, and seniority level. Receive instant feedback on clarity, structure, keyword usage, and confidence, with performance tracking across sessions.
LinkedIn Profile Optimizer -- Score your LinkedIn profile and get AI suggestions to improve visibility, keyword optimization, and professional branding.
Job Application Tracker -- Track every application, follow-up, and interview in one dashboard. Includes status tracking, follow-up reminders, and interview prep notes.
Chrome Extension with Auto-Fill -- Save job listings in one click and auto-fill applications with a tailored resume directly from the browser, without leaving the job board.
Chat-Based Resume Building -- Tell the AI your role and background in a conversation. It asks clarifying questions, then builds your resume section by section in your voice.
Download as PDF or DOCX -- Export your resume in PDF or Word format, plus generate a shareable link to send directly to recruiters.

Additional Tools

Job Description Keyword Finder -- Extract hard and soft skills from any job description to understand what recruiters are looking for.
Cover Letter Checker -- Scan an existing cover letter for issues that need fixing, with actionable recommendations.
AI Resume Rewriter -- Rewrite weak sections with stronger action verbs, quantified achievements, and job-specific keywords.
Resume Grammar Checker -- Catch grammar and spelling errors before submitting your application.
Resume Translation -- Translate your resume between languages while preserving formatting.
Resume Bullet Point Generator -- Generate quantified, achievement-focused bullet points for your experience section.
Resume Skills Generator -- Identify and list relevant skills based on your job title and industry.
Resume Objective Generator -- Create a tailored resume objective or summary statement for any role.
Resume Keyword Scanner -- Scan your resume against an ATS keyword checklist to see what is missing.

ATS Compatibility

ResumeUp.AI tests its templates and parsing against five major ATS platforms quarterly, with the next update planned for September 2026. The five systems -- Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, and Oracle Taleo -- handle an estimated 90% of hiring at medium and large companies. Occasional checks are also run against Ashby, SmartRecruiters, and SAP SuccessFactors.

Harvard Business School research found that 88% of qualified job seekers get filtered out by automated ATS screening before a recruiter ever opens the resume. ResumeUp.AI addresses this with single-column layouts, standard fonts (Calibri, Arial, Garamond), reverse chronological ordering, keyword matching, and text-based PDF exports -- all designed to pass ATS parsing.
