Bubble has been a no-code platform since 2012, and Bubble AI is its AI-powered generation layer built on top of that visual foundation. When you describe your app in plain language, Bubble AI builds it out as a visual, fully editable app with pages, workflows, database structure, privacy rules, and sample data. No code is generated at any step. Everything lands in Bubble visual editor, where you can see exactly how your app works and change anything yourself.

Bubble AI has two main parts. AI App Generation lets you describe your idea and get a fully functional starting point including UI, database, workflows, and logic in minutes. Before anything gets built, Bubble AI presents a blueprint with suggested features and user stories so you can confirm, remove, or add scope. Once confirmed, it builds the full app in one pass. The Bubble AI Agent is an in-editor conversational assistant that helps you build, troubleshoot, and understand your app throughout development. You can prompt it to add features, create or modify UI, generate data types and fields, build frontend workflows, troubleshoot issues, or explain how your app is wired together.

A key differentiator from AI coding tools like Lovable, Bolt, or Replit is that Bubble AI generates visual outputs rather than traditional code. Everything the AI builds is visible and editable in the visual editor, so you are never stuck with code you cannot read. If the AI Agent cannot solve something through conversation, you can step into the visual editor and handle it directly. The two modes work alongside each other, and you can switch between them at any point.

Bubble AI generates visual screens with functional UI elements like buttons, forms, navigation, cards, and layouts, styled and connected to your data from the start. Workflows are built as visual flowcharts you can read and edit directly, showing what happens when a user clicks a button, submits a form, or triggers an action. Data types and fields are created visually and work like spreadsheet tables. Privacy rules are generated alongside the database and are visible in the visual privacy editor. Sample data is included so you can click through the app immediately.

For native mobile, Bubble AI generates mobile UI using native patterns like bottom sheets, tab bars, and stack navigation, with sample data. Web and mobile apps share the same database, workflows, and backend. Publishing is one-click for web, and Bubble helps package and submit native mobile apps to the App Store and Google Play. Bubble handles hosting, security, and scaling automatically. Privacy rules control who can see or edit data. Version control lets you maintain multiple app versions with development and live environments. The platform includes authentication, CRUD operations, and automatic scaling built in.

The AI Agent has been upgraded multiple times throughout 2025 and 2026. Recent improvements include multi-turn conversations that carry context across exchanges, plan cards with numbered steps and status indicators, self-validation to catch invalid changes before applying them, permission controls that respect collaborator access levels, image upload support for UI guidance, and upgrades to Claude Sonnet 4.6 for faster and higher-quality responses. The Agent is now available on all new apps and is being rolled out to existing apps.
