What Is Deftform?

Deftform is an online form builder developed by ivy.mayhem, a German software company also behind products like Releases, InPrivy, and FeatureShift. Hosted in Germany and the EU, it offers a drag-and-drop interface and an AI Assistant that suggests form fields based on natural language prompts. The platform supports over 2,650 customers and provides unlimited responses on all plans, with a 99.9% uptime guarantee and regular backup schedules.

Key Features

The form builder includes 23 field types: short and long answer, email, number, phone, website, single choice, multiple choice, opt-in checkbox, dropdown, country selector, file upload, rating, ranking, slider, date, time, divider, spacer, paragraph, hidden fields, eSignature, and media. Forms can be split across multiple pages and conditional logic controls which fields appear based on respondent answers.

Customization options include custom domains with SSL, custom logos, custom CSS and JavaScript, and themed styles reusable across a workspace. Finished forms can be shared via direct link, embedded with a one-line HTML script, or posted to social media and newsletters. A custom thank-you page or redirect URL can be configured per form.

Integrations and Automation

Deftform connects with several third-party services through native integrations and webhooks:

• Slack and Discord -- receive notifications for new form submissions
• HubSpot -- create contacts by mapping form fields to existing contact properties
• Google Sheets and Airtable -- add a new row for each submission
• MailerLite -- add respondent email addresses to subscriber lists (Mailchimp integration is planned)
• Stripe -- sell products directly through forms without Deftform charging transaction fees
• Make and Pabbly Connect -- connect with 1,500 and 2,000 additional apps respectively through official integrations

Webhooks enable custom automation workflows, and API access is included on all plans for programmatic form management.

Team Collaboration

Deftform does not charge per user. All plans include unlimited team members, making it suitable for organizations of any size. Each account includes three workspaces for organizing forms, and team management allows inviting as many collaborators as needed without additional cost.

Data Collection and Exports

Responses can be exported as structured CSV or PDF files. The platform collects unlimited responses across all plans with no caps on submissions. File uploads are supported with a 50 MB per-file limit and no total storage limit. Visitor and response statistics are available globally across a workspace and on a per-form basis, covering a 14-day rolling window.

Security and Compliance

Deftform provides CAPTCHA protection through ALTCHA, reCAPTCHA, and other providers to prevent spam submissions. Data is hosted in Germany and the EU. For accounts with the Business add-on, data retention controls allow managing how long submitted data is stored.

Pricing

Deftform offers three pricing options with no free tier. All prices are in EUR and exclude VAT:

• Pre-paid -- €4 per form, purchased in bulk quantities of five (€20 for five forms). Includes unlimited responses, three workspaces, custom domains with SSL, unlimited team members, unlimited file uploads, Stripe payments, custom CSS and JS, webhooks and email notifications, and API access.
• Complete -- €25 per month. Includes all Pre-paid features plus unlimited forms and the Business add-on (B2B data enrichment, email verification, data retention controls, ability to sell multiple products, removal of the Deftform backlink and report badge, and custom email domain for notifications).
• Lifetime -- €189 one-time payment, also available as a 12-month installment plan. Includes the same core features as Complete but without the Business add-on. The Extended add-on (€19 one-time) adds the ability to sell multiple products, backlink removal, report badge removal, and custom email domain. The Remove Backlink option alone costs €10 one-time.

The Business add-on is available separately for €18 per month on the Pre-paid and Lifetime plans. It provides B2B data enrichment that validates email addresses and appends additional information such as name, title, and company from public sources, making it useful for lead qualification.

Affiliate Program

Deftform runs an affiliate program through Lemon Squeezy, paying a 40% commission on each referred sale. The maximum commission per sale is approximately €75.60 on the Lifetime plan. Affiliates receive payouts on NET30 terms with a minimum balance threshold of €50. The program is open to both customers and non-customers, and referral cookies are stored for 30 days.
