X76 is an intention-based social networking platform that functions as a live bulletin board. Instead of connecting people based on static profiles, X76 focuses on what users are actively looking for in the moment. Users post short, temporary messages describing their current intentions, such as finding a tennis partner, organizing a photo walk, recruiting collaborators for a film project, or practicing a language. The platform then matches them with others whose plans, needs, or goals align.
Key Features
- Intention-first posting: Users share what they are looking for in a single sentence, making every interaction purpose-driven from the start. Unlike traditional social or professional networks that prioritize profiles and curated identities, X76 centers around the active intention behind each post.
- Discover feed: A live feed displays what people in the user's area or country are currently looking for, enabling serendipitous discovery of local activities, projects, and opportunities.
- Smart matching: X76 automatically detects complementary needs and shared objectives between users based on their post content, suggesting potential matches without requiring manual browsing.
- Temporary posts: Posts are short-lived, reflecting the ephemeral nature of real-world opportunities and reducing the pressure of permanent, curated profiles.
How It Works
- Share your intention: Write a brief sentence describing what you are looking for or planning to do.
- Browse the board: Explore what others in your region are looking for through the Discover feed.
- Connect directly: When a post aligns with your interests, reach out to the poster and follow through on the shared intention.
- Receive smart suggestions: The platform surfaces matching opportunities automatically when it identifies complementary needs between users.
Intended Users
X76 is designed for anyone looking to connect with people around shared activities and real-world plans. This includes individuals seeking activity partners for sports or hobbies, professionals looking for collaborators on projects, travelers searching for companions or local tips, and community members who want to discover what is happening in their area.
Platform and Availability
X76 is currently in beta and accessible as a web application at x76.ai. Users can sign up directly through the website. The platform also maintains a Discord community for questions and feedback. X76 is free to use during its beta phase and does not appear to have pricing tiers or paid plans at this time.
Privacy and Philosophy
X76 differentiates itself from traditional networking apps by being intention-first rather than profile-first. The platform emphasizes serendipity and real-world spontaneity, mirroring how people naturally meet through shared activities rather than algorithm-driven matching. The service operates under its own privacy policy and terms of service available on the website.
